An Airline Made an 18-Year-Old Change Her Shorts Because They Were Too Short . . . You Be the Judge
HIGHLIGHTS: Last week, an 18-year-old woman in England was flying to Spain and wearing cutoff jean shorts. But the airline told her they were TOO SHORT, and she had to change. The woman says they wouldn't let her leave the gate to change . . . so she had to strip them off in front of everyone. Now she's thinking about filing a legal complaint.
FULL STORY: Last week, 18-year-old Alix Townsend of Lancashire, England was going on a trip to Mallorca, Spain. (It's pronounced "Mah-york-a".) Since she was going on a beach trip, she was wearing cutoff jean shorts.
Alix was flying on an airline called Monarch . . . and unfortunately, their gate representatives thought her shorts were TOO SHORT. They said the shorts were, quote, "cut extremely high and her [butt] cheeks were visible."
So what's the answer when someone is dressed TOO SEXY for your airline? Apparently, you find a way to make things even SEXIER.
They told Alix she had to change . . . but not in the bathroom, RIGHT THERE at the gate, in front of everyone. She ended up changing into longer shorts from her suitcase while she tried to keep herself covered up.
Alix and her family are thinking about filing a legal complaint against Monarch. But a spokesman from Monarch says they never told her she couldn't go to a bathroom to change.
