3 year old ticketed for peeing
A 3-year-old in Piedmont, Oklahoma was issued a citation for public urination, with a fine of $2,500. Doesn't that seem a little extreme? A little boy, in the process of potty-training, was playing outside and had to go, so he went. And he got a ticket, really? Many people wouldn't have a problem with this. Some people even encourage this as practice for good aim. How many adult men do you know that will walk past the bathroom in the home to pee outside? Some say it's freeing, others claim it to be a man's right. The Piedmont police officer that wrote the citation, apparently, does not think it's okay.
The boy's mother attempted to file a complaint with the police department, but the complaint was not accepted. The Warden family is scheduled to appear in court in December. The mother of the little boy, Ashley Warden, says she plans to fight the citation because her son didn't actually pee. However, a judge can choose to dismiss the ticket, and hopefully will, because it is so ridiculous.
While it may not be 100% socially acceptable to pee outside, little boys and men have been doing it for, like, ever, and it's not likely to come to a halt any time soon. Do you suppose this officer was just bored and in a bad mood?
